Mother Mary is known here under the title of "Our Lady of Buensuceso".
chichirica
Sometime last week there was a feature here about a flower in my frontyard.
Well, last Saturday September 8 was the birthday of Mother Mary and together with a friend, the author travelled to Paete, Laguna to watch a parade of statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of course to pay Her homage on Her anniversary. It was a unique show held where life-size statues of different titles of Mary were featured inside the church.
On their way back, the two passed by Los Banos and chanced upon flower plants displayed and sold along the hi-way. This is what they found out regarding the particular flower from that article.
the name is chichirica.
